I just contacted Nitto about making a drag radial in the 22" size for us. I just saw in PHR that they now have it in 20s so 22" tires shouldn't be too much to demand, right?

I have read several posts about the Nittos on the SRT8s...all gave negative feedback....mainly that the Nittos lost traction after about 10 or so passes...

I wonder why that is. Could it be a size thing possibly? Maybe a different make up compound? Ive run them for years on my car, never had any trouble with them. I was running a 275 x 40 x 17. Always hooked up till the threads were showing (literally). Now I will say they required a large drop in tire pressure and a vigorous burnout to hook up but I was able to snag some 1.7 60's dumping the clutch at 6800 rpms. I was quite happy.

I only recently stopped using the Nitto's since the Mickey Thompson drag radials hit the market. The Mickey's are a much much sticker tire than the Nitto drag radial but it also has less than a quarter of the life expectancy.

If Nitto made a 22" drag radial I would have them in the mail tomorrow. Hell, if anyone made a 22" drag radial they'd be in the mail tomorrow. I hate having to catch people to beat them, but it looks really cool!!
