No CEL but I'm showing a code?

I don't have a Check Engine Light on but when I check the codes I'm showing P0330-KNOCK SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT - SRT10. Why would I show a code but not the CEL? I'm guessing that not all codes will show a CEL but that is just a guess. I only run 93 OCT and I don't hear any pinging or knocking, never had. So why would the code be there but not the CEL? Shouldn't the code clear on its on after a certain amount of starts?

Drove it for a few days still with no CEL. But there is still a code. Tonight I disconnected the battery and the code went away. I will see if it comes back.

It's just a code stored in memory.

Turn the key on and off 3 times consecitively (without starting) the code should show up in the little window just below Tach!!
