Several months ago I posted an issue with the fuel pressure (gas gauge not registering) and the truck not starting. Well while taking the bed off I noticed the fuel gauge was registering and the truck started right up.:rock: I cleaned the fuel pump connections and put the bed back on and started driving the truck with no problems, until last week. The fuel pressure is gone again and the gas gauge is not registering. I've taken the bed off again and did the following.
Checked all connections, fuses, checked the pump direct (works fine) checked grounds I'm at my wits end:dontknow::dontknow:.

Questions:
If the fuel pump is bad will the gas guage still register the amount of gas in the tank?:dontknow:
Should i change the pcm or can it be checked for this problem?:dontknow:
Any other suggestions ? All your help is greatly appreciated.

Happy Holidays to all :cheers::cheers:

Not sure on our trucks, but YES most fail to register the fuel gauge when the pump goes. They are wired in series power wise. I would check for any relays, fuses, bottom of fuse box, and especially the connections around the tank area since when you lift the bed it seems to make connection again.
CHECK YOUR GROUNDS IN THAT AREA AROUND THE BED AS WELL AS UP FRONT!
