I would agree. Nothing is gonna work all the time. For the cost, I think its a great upgrade.

Justin, can you post a pic of the track only snubbers that come with stage 2?

thanks patrick

Here you go:

They are approx 1/2" longer and stiffer than stock, so your factory bar is now preloaded (which is why I recommend for track only).

Justin what settings do you use on the shocks around town and then on the strip? I should have mine soon if I can ever catch up with the UPS man.

I'm sure this is a stupid question but.......does the bar being preloaded prematurely wear the suspension or is it just a ride quality thing? Heck, it may be both, your input is appreciated. I was thinking of puting this kit on my daily driver, if either of the above is BAAADDDDD I might just do stage one with some caltracs.

they work dropped me from a 8.83 to a 8.60 in the 8th, havent had time to test them but once.

Backroad cruising and majority around town: 5-6 all around
Cushy highway cruising: 3-4 all around
Drag: 0 in front and 3 in back

These are my recommended starting points on a RC, a QC would/could probably be a step stiffer on the drag to start.

By preloading, you are using the traction bar as an extra leaf and ride quality would be affected. The shock(s) can be used on a daily driver without any problems.
Justin

not so bad, it would just ride like a haywagon.....still considering this for a daily driver.

im just wondering, if it is possible to install caltrac and jmb traction stage 2 together in one truck because i notice it is two different design?

The shock and the leaf spring clamps can be installed on a caltrac setup, but not the snubbers or factory traction bar parts.

Do both the Calverts and the JMB Stage 1 (or 2) alleviate wheel hop?
I have the stage II system on my truck, but I didn't ever have any wheel hop before or now. It just spins and goes straight. Wheel hop sucks!

Thats a question Justin might be able to answer.

Wildman...If you can wait a few weeks I will be testing Justin's QA1's at the track....weight transfer.... ....and since they are adjustables....click click and go....I have very consistent 60's so we will know something shortly...

Please post your results...thanks.

P.S. Maybe try a few runs with the wing too?
