I have a B&M shifter in my truck. Though I love the hell out of it's performance, I wondered if the little bit of noise in it could be worked out. I put a 1/8" piece of leather in-between the shift lever pieces where they bolt together, trying to isolate the two. Something similar to the stock Hurst's rubber isolator. Well.....it didnt help. Maybe just the least little bit but not enough to keep the patch in there.

Long story short. Putting something in-between the shift levers will not reduce the noise. Cost of performance...I'll live with it.

PS...solution might be on the way in the form of my Bassani's, JBM cat-less mids, and modified Magnaflow. :D

I did the same thing. I bought two neopreme washers between them and...................nope didn't help. But between my exhaust and the radio i can't hear it. the performance is un beatable! IMO

....hmmmmm...maybe that is why I never hear any noise from my B&M shifter...:dontknow: :D

You guys need to make sure the lock nut is tight up against the ball. I left mine loose at first. On the test drive I almost shit my pants at the rattle it made. Then I figured it out and tightend it. Now not to much noise now. Just a performance type whine.

My B&M makes very little noise, of course I'm old and can't hear very well.

Just had my flight physical today. The results today based on how I could hear 18 years ago is not promising. :( Damn AC-130's ;)

when im shoving a hoo ho in my face and listen to radio i dont hear my shifter,,what he say !i think it might rain :p

Could you all speak up a little louder,I can't hear you??:dontknow:
