I've been reading up on this for a week now and still can't seem to come to a clear cut conclusion. I think my TPS is bad but my old truck did it too but they're 2 completely different engines so I'm not 100% confident it's normal.

When I start her up, no matter if she's cold or warmed up, it feels like she's surging at low speeds in D and R. When I'm pulling out of the drive way for the first 5 to tops 10 seconds of giving her gas, she starts surging. Once I get over 10 it goes away and never comes back, even if I'm under 10 it never does it again until I turn it off let it sit for a while and turn it on again. It's not a jerky surge, it feels like the engine is pulling and waiting for the rest of the truck to catch up, it's difficult to describe. It's always in the same rhythm, the tach doesn't pick it up(At least I don't think it does I'm going so slow it wouldn't make much of a difference) but I can feel it.

It's just like my KFX700 to better describe it, when I start it in Winter with the choke on and put it in gear without taking the choke off. It "crawls" it's not getting enough gas to keep a constant speed so it'll accelerate, coast, accelerate but it's not as noticeable in the SRT.

I didn't think it would throw a code, I'll have to hook it up tomorrow.

When my TPS was bad. It would do it almost the whole time out. not being 5-10 sec and thats it.

when I would pull to red lights the rpm's would goto about 1400-1500 and stay, sometimes it would come down on it's own. But other times I would have to just tap the gas & the r's would go back to normal. the part was cheap. buy it and see :dontknow:

Pull the IAC and lub it up. Get it moving. It may need to be replaced.
