Way Cool... Now That is something that needs to be on All Cutting Power Tools... :)

Really Nice Post Tony... :)

I know a guy who has one. Unfortunately he didn't have it before his first table saw accident. He lost the better part of four fingers off one hand. He went and bought one of these saws to make sure it didn't happen again.

I've been sawing for 30 years and have never had a finger in there. seems like common sense?

cool device though!

The story the fella tells is that the wood he was sawing got bound up somehow and when it shot off the saw it pulled his hand into the blade. He's a contractor and has been using power tools for a long time. Just one of those things.

your only 28, how is that possible?:D

j/k...yep my grandfather after 50+ years owning a consruction co cut off 3 fingers at the middle knuckle.
funny thing is he was leading habitat for humanity in FL when he did it a few years back

Fox maintenance dept. has had two in service for 3/yrs now...:elefant:

And it's a little over $250.00 to reload them now.

Man what a concept!

Not to try and be a know it all but I'm a woodworker and it took the inventors way longer than they expected to get the Sawstop into production, plus the cost is significant. They started with a well designed table saw and now have it in their "contractor" type semi portable saw. Like Quick said....$250 to replace the brake unit after it fires.

They are no doubt saving fingers and what price can you place on that?
