Now this is some power...

That there is launching! No problem hooking up, just an altitude issue! Great Vid!

Good video. Very poor set up on the car. Dangerous as all get out.

Bingo, we have a winner.

I know I have harped on this before, and no one listens, but I'm going to take one more try, as this video shows it better than I can explain in words.

For those of you that watch NHRA races, do you ever see this happen with the PRO-STOCK class? Fuck no. Want to know why? It has nothing to do with weight of the cars or their HP. It all comes down to weight transfer and traction. The Pro-Stock cars are close to 4 times our HP (stock) and about half our weight. Do they have traction problems? Hell no. Yes, they have a bunch more tire, but that is not the only thing going for them.

Ask Jack to post pictures of either his truck or Chevelle's rear suspension. Guess what, it's either a ladder bar or 4 link set up. Sorry Jack. I know the truck is 4 link, but I cannot remember on the Chevelle.

No matter what mods you do to your truck, you will reach a point that the suspension will not be able to transfer the HP to the pavement. Tires help, but they are not the answer by themselves.

Okay, I'm off my soapbox. Well not quite. While that video is neat, it's not safe, nor is that launch going to result in the best ET or Speed in the 1/4 mile.

Now I'm done and I will never mention this again.

I lied. One more comment.

That's not power. As Jack said, it's a poor setup.

Well it sure fool me....:D

Yes, it has power, but it's not moving the car down the track.

Guess I should have clarified that part.;) :D

John,
Here is a link to some early pics of the Chevelle. It is a 4 link with a wishbone. It will not wheel stand. It might carry the left front tire 1-2 inches off the ground, but will not be an acrobat. Everything is apart and at the powder coaters right now.

I believe that was a wheely contest they were doing, hence no one in the other lane and him staying in the gas!!

This guy was the winner!!!
