All AMERICAN citizens have the right to "bear" arms, right? Why is the Military any different? Hell, you would think the Gov't would rather us own them than anybody else....but, this is not the case.

On post or off post, it shouldn't matter. They shouldn't have had to ask anybody in your chain of command. If they were on post, they would have to register the guns with the MPs. Atleast, that's how it is with us
