od in trany

anyone ever venture into the idea to put a OD gear in the 6th gear postion in trans to improve mileage for the RC truck,,

also i am sure this has been asked a 100 times but here goes ,,what would it take to put a automatic in a RC ,,i have done it many times in the old days of 60 to late 80 models ,,would i have to switch the ecm also putting it in the truck is no problem for me at the shop but the electrics must be right :dontknow:

Ummmmm, why would you want to put an auto tranny in such a fun to drive 6 speed? I ask because I'm in H-town too; where there really are no hills and... well, I just don't see the logic.:dontknow:

There is one large problem changing to an auto trans, the engine blocks are not the same

It would be nice to have a QC with the manual transmission. So, that way I can take my friends for a ride and show off to them on how fast the QC with the manual tranny is.
