OEM Tonneau cover

How do I remove the plastic cover arround the OEM tonneau cover locking device? It seems to be mounted with some kind of plugs?
Do I just yank them out or is a special tool required?:dontknow:

I think the stick going to the left lock came loose, I have trouble opening the cover while disengaging.

being an autodidact i figured it out myself : first remove the inner plug and pull out the outer cap... Turned out to be a stiff joint in the locking mechanism. Some WD40 and problem fixed.

when it comes down to the truck I always need it to be fixed asap .
I was looking at the screen of the PC: answer guys.... answer dammit !!
Soon I thought: <offensive section>, i'll figure it out myself, how hard can it be.....
