congrats on the truck, you will love it
Django said:Congratulations on (both) decisions ........
I may be the first (one) to admit that I was disappointed in the power of my RC when I first "got on it"..... Perhaps it's because I was used to a 400rwhp sports car..... or because this is my first truck in over 30 years..... it's hard to say. But, I didn't have a hard-on for the power it exhibited.....
Thankfully, I had already arranged with Paxton to use my truck as the prototype for their upcoming system for the SRT-10 truck.....
After the S/C was in and I yanked the cats, I was feeling real good about the overall power, sound and fun factor in this vehicle.... Honestly, If I had not gone (with) forced induction, I doubt I would have kept the truck...
You'll notice that this forum is not only jam packed with really great and helpful people, but that a good percentage of us have more than a few mods.... there must be a reason for this. (or, better yet) a number of reasons for this. Frankly, one would be well served to consider how many of us, if given to speaking freely, would admit that their penchant for performance isn't simply "mad modders disease" as much as a shared initial disappointment with the raw power of a "bone stock" Ram SRT-10.
Please understand that I'm not dissing anyone's ride or looking down my nose at stockers..... Anyone who'd say that must not know me very well. I'm just speaking from the heart... If my observation is shared by no one here, that's great. We should all be happy with what we have...These are great trucks..... But they are (after all) trucks.
As I said, maybe it's the comparative experience (between my 2 cars) that impressed me negatively... I don't know. These trucks weigh about 5400 effing pounds... and it takes one helluva lotta power to give (one) that "holy shit", "sucked back in the seat", wow factor (to which) I have grown accustomed.
On the other hand, you may get in, strap down, push the red button and launch yourself into a world of multiple, spontaneous Ramgasms... and I really hope that you do. But I'd most definately take a serious test drive and solve the mystery for yourself, rather than ask such a subjective question of the members here........ You be the judge....
Tell the salesman that yer gonna taker her out and wind her up like the designers at Dodge intended. I've said this to many sales managers over the years and they've all acquiesced to the fact that (barring outright abuse of the vehicle) a good, honest thrill ride is the only way to see whether any vehicle gets your automotive rocks off..........
Good luck and happy hot rodding.

My husband got my truck for me one day when I was working!!! He brought my truck to me right before I got off work! It was a good day!!! So, in turn, he got his Charger as a Christmas "present"... Only because that was the only way I could get him to NOT drive my truck!!![]()

Just be sure to keep the wing on....so people don't confuse you with the regular Ram trucks (like they do with NowWhat's beast).
Damn Tim. You're disappointed with the power? Hop in my N/A ride and try to get the $20 off the dash.Maybe all you needed was the Driver Mod.
Hell, it worked for Trainman and his N/A truck.![]()

FACT: I was driving fast when you were still shittin' green, youngster......
Or perhaps I'm just used to real power............ .![]()
