Oil amount???

How much oil am I supposed to put in when I do the oil??? On another forum it says don't put more than 6 quarts reguardless of what it says to do because you never need more for adequate lubrication.

9 qts of 0w-40 mobil 1 is what i always put in manual says 8.7 qts or something but 9 puts me at the full mark everytime. somebody is screwing with you 6 qts would hurt the motor never a good thing being low on oil.

9 Unless the dipstick tube splits like mine did and then it's about 14 ....

I put 8.5 qt in my 05, but one of the things I notice for me is right after I get the last one in the dipstick shows it is almost a half quart low. I let it sit for a little bit (10 minutes or so) and the level is perfect on the dipstick.

Who would say 6 quarts? Even the hemi engine takes 7!!! I put 9 in mine. And you gotta check it often cause the viper motor tends to burn a little off before you hit the next 3k mile change.

its pretty much 8.5 to 10 quarts depending on the size of your filter.
