there is a possibile prob in the '04's & early '05's from a whinin/moanin noise in the engine.

some folks believe that different filters "fix" the prob. in my experience it just covers them up.

there is a sticky in the Exotic Engine Development thread & other threads bout the possible prob.

My Whine wasn't anywhere near as bad as yours was. I could barely hear it, but it was there with the viper filter. No problems with the one I use now.

Can anyone tell me what the bypass valve does?
What does it bypass? Hopefully not the filter.

Straight 40 was just fine in Florida, I can see a problem up north though
