Oil Filters

Just got around to changing the oil and filter prior to putting the truck away for the winter.

Attached is a picture of the oem filter on the left and the Viper filter on the right (white).

You will note there are a couple of differences...the box at the far right is the box with the part number for the viper filter.

I got a case of the Mopar Viper filters (the ones on the right in the first pic) from Patrick at Avondale to try.

I've used them through two oil changes on both my 05 SRT-10 and my 98 truck 8.0l v10 and have not experienced any ill affects on either. I know some reported a noise, but not on my two trucks.

Thats what I use, it has a 1" nut to get it off, which is nice in that tight spot.
