Pulled the truck out of the driveway and noticed a couple spots of oil or someting. I was wondering if it is an oil line or power steering line. It is the line with the dark color on it located at the bottom front passenger side. It looks like an oil cooler line to me just wanted some input on what it is. Looks like I am going to have to change out the hose. Thanks

Is that right below your oil filter? When is the last time you changed your oil filter?

The oil cooler lines on these trucks have a habit of leaking right at the crimp. The leak is small and take a while to notice as most gets caught on the parts around it. I think it is your oil cooler line by the looks.

Ah, I didn't see the line, only the big housing at the bottom.

The Oil Filter is closer to the front and center of the hose. Last oil change was about a month and 1000 miles ago.

Yeah that's what it looks like to me also. It is leaking from the clamp. The thing that bakes my noodle is the truck only has 3200 miles on it. I wouldn't think that wouldn't be enough miles to make a clamp come loose. Probably a defective hose.

Several have had the leaking hose. Even with the turbo the dealer still replaced mine under warranty. But they had to order the part which took a few days.

Do you have a part # for that hose or do u need more info. Everytime I go to the stealership they have no clue of what is going on. For example the improved door seals. They had no idea about them. Had them replaced on the Cummins and was going to do the SRT later when I had time. Well I went to go get the seal for the srt and they had no idea about it again. And my choice of selection is pretty slim.

I had both of mine replaced last week. I have found out that this is a problem for all years. I am going to start working on a steel braided replacement so this doesn't happen to me again. I HATE OIL LEAKS!!!! (and exhaust leaks while I'm ranting).

Cool idea with the braided lines. Keep us informed on your progress.

No problem I ordered the line today. Thanks though

Well if you have any other problems with that part number let me know. I can call my dealership and get the number.

i just got mine back from the dealer. love warrenty work. but anyway it took the idiots 3 weeks to change the lines because "we need a special wrench and cant get it". and they call themselves mechanics

I had mine replaced under warranty also, they even put in a new oil cooler for free.

That was when Bam Bam was our Viper Tech a Jax Dodge:rock: !!
