oil pressure ?

i got my oil changed for the first time since i got my truck and i know it says mobil one on the cap but the guy at valvoline insisted the vavoline synthetic was better has any one ever heard of this.so they didnt have mobile 1 so i went with the valv synthetic.i also noticed the guy put in 5w-30 is that good or bad?then i was driving later today and i noticed my oil pressure was at about 75-80lbs with the throttle down and 50lbs at idle is that normal i dont know if its from the oil change or what but i thought my truck always ran about 50-60lbs with the throttle down and 45-50 at idle where should it be at and whats normal?

I am not a fan of vavoline but you are fine....sounds like the guy was forcing it on you because that was what he had...

used valvoline for years in my other vehicles, and never had a problem. Never gunked up the motor, and I usually run it on my daily driver between 5 to 8 K between changes.

I'm a royal purple fan now, so I can't say on the SRT.
