OIL Temp gauge stuck

since i bought the truck last month the oil temp gauge does not work, key on or off it stays stuck at 170 degree, anybody have an idea what i need to do to fix it ?
 
90% of the time it's the gauge

New gauge. I have seen many fellow 10 owners have to replace it. JTSVP and Scott Forman(venomous1racing) can get your one I'm sure.
 
will do thnx, btw it being an Autometer gauge you would think it would last longer
 
They are a great accurate gauge and useful IMO. I do sell the OEM gauges often as they do eventually go out. You figure a decade plus old isn't too bad. :D
Autometer is among the most accurate and reliable of all gauge companies. :burnout:

Yep, gotta replace the gauge. You can go OEM or JTSVP can get an aftermarket gauge too.
 
Mine went out on me also. Seems it happens. Bought a new one from PhxPoolGuy & things are right with the world. Good Luck.
 
I have the same problem. How can you test the gauge to make sure it's the problem before buying a new one?
