Oil Temperature Gauge Not Working

I understand from the forum that it is not unusual for our oil temperature gauge to fail.
I haven’t checked yet if its my gauge or the sender that’s out, but from the symptoms it sounds like the gauge failure others have reported.
What’s been the preferred fix for this problem?
Replace with another original dodge gauge, equivalent aftermarket, or upgrade to more sophisticated gauge?

Just sorta of going by what ppl have told me and I've read... haven't had it fixed yet but... I've read of ppl getting after market a.e.m (I believe)not sure and I've read of ppl staying o.e.m path. Ive ALSO read that some have changed gauge and worked awhile AND still had to go back and change sending unit.

get one from speedhut, or autometer...

and/or use the opportunity to get a dual or triple pod and fill them up!
