Yep oilfield trash for life, been consulting / working for myself (505 Consulting LLC) for the last 4 years drilling here in the San Juan Basin for Conoco/Phillips & Devon Energy. Before I started consulting I worked for Halliburton 14 years the last almost 8 years offshore in Angola West Africa. But I got my start at good ol 4-Corners Drilling right here in Farmington.

Why didn't I think of adding pics too. I got a couple good ones.

This 6 1/8 bit was pulled after drilling 145' +/- with about 20 hours on it. Many things led up to this bit getting ripped up. But a slip handle broke and fell downhole. The company went in with a magnet with no luck and decided to drill ahead. Guess it was still there.

The rig is Unit 235. Probably one of the best rigs I have worked on and great group of guys. I felt spoiled after leaving that rig and realized there is a lot of junk iron out there.

NewMexicoViper it looks like my company(Dynamic Drilling Fluids) is trying to get some work with your oufit up here. From what I understand it has been in the works for a while.

when youre coming inbound bell pass and you get to the intersection ,,,take that right into old fourchon. go down past LL fuel dock and the fishing dock "Charlies" The CDI dock is right next to Charlies. Right now I am on the boat " Mr Jim" I bounce around from boat to boat. I am the only 14 and 14 captain Caldive has . All of there boats are 28 and 14. I am currently trying to find a company that has 14 and 14 schedual so I can have a home boat. But the companys that have even time cant touch the pay caldive is paying me
