Don't Forget the Black Phantasm 1971 Hemi Cuda
Hey Guys,
I'd have to say pull out the Munstermobile and put in the Black 1971 Cuda from the movie "Phantasm" if we wanted to keep it all Mopar. I still think the cars that started it all were the cars from the movie "Bullit"! If we wanted a cool retro car, the Green 1970 Trans-Am from the John Wayne Movie "Mc Q". Ted Nugent did a great job blowing up Crocket's Daytona in Miami Vice.

That F&F Charger looked good when it first appeared in the movie, especially after watching all the riced out cars, BUT,...I can't get past the point that it was really a 318 car with a bolt on supercharger hood ornament and that they used hydraulics to simulate the wheelie. That just ruins the illusion for me even though a lot of other cars were faked up in other movies too. Maybe that's why "Bullit" was so cool.
BTW, the fastest car in "Bullit" had to be the Volkswagen Beetle. It was in just about every scene during the chase way ahead of the Mustang and the Charger. There is a black Valiant stationwagon in "The World's Fastest Indian" that get's from LA to Wendover long before Burt Munro as well.

The Powerwagon from Simon and Simon was the one I was trying to remember. I loved the front bumper on that thing. I think it was a 4 X 16 beam.

Hey, does everyone know that the car that was blown up in the original Vanishing Point movie was actually a Camaro? Apparently the director was such an anal retentive Mopar guy (not that that's a bad thing Mopower), that he actually refused to blow up a dummy challenger for the scene. He insisted on a Camaro, because ....."they have been and always will be, a dime a dozen"

How much does anyone want to bet that when the new challenger comes out there will be a remake of vanishing point???
There was a remake within the last couple of years with the swordsman on Lord of the rings character.
