Ok, need paint advice...

My MIL's Cobalt has some stuff in the paint that I can't seem to get out.
I have tried Polishing compounds, clay bar and stuff like Meguiar's Scratch-X, but I can't get it all out.

Anybody have any good suggestions? It would be cool if someone knows of something that I can run to Pep Boys and pick up cheap, but it seems like I have tried that. I don't want to use a rubbing compound if I can help it, but I will if I have to...

go to a paint and body shop talk to the guy who does the buffing. he will help you out most of the time. they normally have some good shit.

I took some 3M 39002 Rubbing Compound and a machine pad on the end of a power drill to my tonneau last week. It took 90% of what I wanted to remove (etched water spots), but I was too big a 'gina to cut it any deeper.

well you can wet sand the area with 2000 grit wet sand paper and then buff it out dont worry you cant sand threw the claer with 2000 grit your arm would be hurtin like hell

I think that this stuff is already through the clear.

It looks like little tiny specks of rust. :dontknow: And they are in there deep. Even the Rubbing compound I just got doesn't get it.

my guys says wet sand with 2000 then cut with corse compound, then medium, then fine. it takes a while if that dont get it its through the clear.
