ok ,ok I admit it I need help

I have waited long enough and drooled to much on this site to keep having bad luck and no mods.

I have a plan but need help,

I would like to build my motor but dont know exactly what needs to be upgraded from the top to the bottom. Im talking the whole nine yards here from the heads all the way down. My problem is im not so good at this and really need someone who knows exactly what is needed and where to find it. Then i can start buying parts over a extended period of time intead of taking the hit all at once, especially since my gf will leave me if I do this and dont marry her first. So can anyone please specifically instruct me here on whats exactly needed and where to get the pieces and im talking top of the line pieces too. I know its asking a lot but i really need someones knowledge here and would really appreciate the help.

On a side note for other information, once this is complete I plan to supercharge with a paxton as my final hp component.

im not weathly but i make decent money and well since this truck is my only toy it deserves the best. It may take me a while but im dead set on getting this done weather it takes me 6 months of 10 years. And ive seen the sticky but think of me as the dunce in the cornor when it comes to this just speak slowly and remember im smrt, not smart about these things. And hey who knows by the time I get finished someone may have figured out traction for these things or solved the riddle to world hunger.

Some of the guys here like Bone are doing there own. A lot of others have used specialty engine builders. Since I do not know all the ins and outs of performance, I plan to go to a tuner and do what he says. There are quite a few available. Exotic Engine Development is even a supporting member here. They built Nowwhats engine, and to date his is the fastest documented SRT-10 on our site. I do see one problem with buying parts over time though. Technology is always moving forward. The pistons you buy today may be replaced by a newer and better version before you get them installed. Then you are tempted to buy the latest and greatest and left to ebay the original purchase.

If you are going to stay N/A, I would talk to VT2933. He did a nice budget-minded (if that's even possible on these trucks) top end buildup on his engine (heads/cam/intake) with good results.

Otherwise I would say call DC Performance. I don't think anyone knows our trucks or Viper engines better than they do.

Being in Illinois you have a few options that are rather close to you. Boomer (X-Metal in Indiana), Performance by Joe (Saint Louis), or SVS Vipers (Illinois). I would contact on of these.

Tims truck is listed at a very respectable price through BJMotors.biz, like others have said, sell yours and buy his and save quite a bit of money. The money you just saved could go toward your next build mod.

I guess I don't get out enough. Didn't realize Tim unloaded his truck after just going through the engine build.

See he has a Viper now. Guess at the end of the day just couldn't make the truck fast enuff....

Took a lookie at his truck it silver ahhhhhhhhhh hehehe not a bad idea but id rather build each piece myself and know exactly what i gotz and needs, stupid and expensive i know but to me its worth it- even if it takes forever. Called boomer already and hes not doin much of this engine building anymore between designing and everything else hes booked to much for it and SVS how are they do you or anyone here have exp with these guys. I saw there built short block on the site and started wondering how good it was.
