I found a Five Star Dealer with a Viper Tech that is going to do my fluid, filter, and band adjustment. I wanted to see if there were any other things i should do at this time. Was thinking about aftermarket pans, and which ones to go with? Also what fluid recomendations do you guys have? Thanks.

I am with Jake, my dealer was confused when I talked about bands.

I got a mag-hytec double deep transmission pan installed at my 15000 maintenance.

You found a Dealer that actually AGREES that this transmission has BANDS in it?!?!?!

I might have to ship my truck to NJ....

The Service Manager has a QC SRT-10, said yep you got a (read off the part number) trans and they do need to get adjusted. I went to 5 other dealers in NJ before finding this one, and all the other dealers had no clue, nor did they have a Viper Tech.

Ok, thanks, which one is for our trucks? I think it's the 727-dd? What fluid did you go with?

I am almost positive that it was the 727-dd. I called Suncoast and told them what I had and they told me which one I needed. They said it would add an additional 4 quarts. I went with ATF+4.

Thanks, just got one from an authorized mag-hytec dealer on ebay for $250.00 shipped. It is the 727-DD.

Just had my tranny overhauled under warranty!!

Glad to know there are still dealerships that know what they are doing! Unfortunately, there aren't any in Orlando....

What are they charging for the service?

Don't know if a Viper tech is who you want to do this being there are no Viper Auto's except maybe a special pace car!!

You may be better off with a Transmission specialist!!:dontknow:

The deeper pan like one from PML is great plus adding Amsoil ATF+4 along with a deeper pan has shown a great decrease in tranny temp

allen samuells in katy wouldnt do it for me. I've spent 90,000 dollars there in 2 years and they wont look into adjusting the bands!

how much does it cost?

This is what I used for fluid (See below). I really wanted to use Royal Purple but I couldn’t find anyone around here that had the correct Royal Purple replacement fluid for ATF+4 (They just came out with it in Sept). I also went ahead and installed the Transgo shift kit. It did firm up the shifts a little more but I haven’t driven it much since I did the install I also adjusted both bands.

You can ask if they will put in the Transgo kit and still warranty it?
New Torque converter?

PML or MagHytec makes great pans.

Ok, just got the TransGo kit for $75. shipped. Is there anything else I should do? Whats this I hear about new bands and a lever? Remeber my truck only has 15k on it. But I do want Performance. Thanks to everyone.

My List as of current is
*MagHytec 727-DD pan
*TransGo Shift Kit
*Valvoline ATF+4 Fluid
