I had a Midland with side bands, on a good night with plenty of skip we used to speak to folks in the US from Wales, I had a 100 wat burner and a K40. LOL wow those were the days... General Electric had a cheap straight 40 channel rig out then too....

yeah, ya gotta be old to remember the craze...it was fun.

KTT-6402 - The CrispyCritter.....had a Johnson tuned to 8 watts with a 100 watt bilinear foot warmer and a Browning Eagle base station.

Still got 2 midland's in the shop.....they are fun for trips with several cars.

fun daze there was some crazy sh1t on the radio and you could actually ask for help and get it...weird.
