I've got a hand-held one someplace.... haven't used it in about 17 years or so. :dontknow: :eek: We just used them on the farm ("FRS" radios were real expensive back then). :)

1974 - Had a 23 channel Lafayette HB-525 with a seat warmer and full 1/4 Wave Whip Antenna :)

Federal License KQB-1910

Handle = Robot

I had a Midland with side bands, on a good night with plenty of skip we used to speak to folks in the US from Wales, I had a 100 wat burner and a K40. LOL wow those were the days... General Electric had a cheap straight 40 channel rig out then too....

I never understood the whole echo mic craze... Was/is there any real benefit, or is it just for that (annoying) effect? :dontknow:
