Ok Weve established the Range Rover is crap , What about Porsche

LOL looking for opinions on it.. good or bad... was looking at the Range Rover Supercharged but it has a 197% bad liability rating on consumer reports and everyone on here who has been near one says they fall apart..\

So I have changed my views to the Porsche Turbo 2006 - 2008 year models...

And now looking for peoples first hand experience with this beast.. I looked at the Mercidies 550 as well but its to ugly ... lol...

One good point i see is the twin turbo 520hp :).. that will put a grin on your face lol..

Love em. Mom had the v6 model....slow but the most driver friendly car I've ever driven. The sound system rocks n the the porsche cayenne s or turbo look mean and you can adjust ride height plus they haul ass! Test drive one then test drive the range (if u can get outta the Porsche)
I forgot to mention never had one problem well built and the exhaust is harmonious!!!
Also forgot to mention....pu$$y magnet!!!!

i don't own one...but i almost bought one...

cayenne s v8....unassumingly fast...you really don't realize it....one of the nicest riding suv's on the highway i've ever driven...

only reason i didn't buy it is because my wife says "and what if something breaks...how the hell are we gonna fix it...you're certainly not...so we gotta go to the only porsche dealer within 100 miles???"

so...we kept the jeep....;)

i think silverback has one...and i thought he wasn't too fond of his srt....

i forgot about the bmw.....

they're made about 20 mins. from my house...and i've toured the factory....;)

Uncle has the Cayenne Turbo S, nice but WAY overpriced for what it is. Then again, your buying the name..

As for speed, stock for stock is pretty much dead even, he wins 1, I win 1, He wins 1, I win 1 , but then again, I didn't pay 100k lol

I have dirven the Cayenne Turbo and I thought it seemed pretty slow, especially for the price. It had major turbo lag. I wouldn't buy one. Escalades are nice believe it or not. And pretty fast. And cheap these days. The Cayenne is known to be pretty reliable. I would just have her keep the bimmer and save my hard earned money. It's an SUV we're talkin about here. Who gives a crap which one it is.

LOL thats a good point as well,, which maybe the best case .. Save my money for a real car :=-)...

Used they are one of the best SUV's for the price around. ~10 or so of them at the office, all non Porsche people and they just love the things. I have heard no complaints about them except for MPG on the S's. As the resident car guy I get all the way is my car broken questions and not a single one in ~6 years.

Nope, no Porsche for me.

I had an Infiniti FX35 and a QX56. Loved both of them.

And you are correct, I hate the Jeep. It's a POS as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure it will be history by this time next year.

A lot of peeps don't know it but, the porsche and the VW toureg is the same vehicle...diff sheet metal. And the VW mini van is a dodge caravan...

I had a non-turbo Cayenne S the first year they came out (2003). It was a POS. The first time I got in a rain storm, and turned on the wipers, they flew OFF the truck. .... $130/EACH to replace. The trans had lots of issues.... the diff had issues. It almost killed me a few times, because when the traction control kicks in, the damn thing WON'T MOVE. I guess it was some sensor in the diff. :dontknow:

..... But, that was a new model that year... so, maybe they have changed some things and got it figured out.

Musta been bc the new year my mom had the same model 06 and never had one issue with it except expensive brakes when the time is due.

I would urge strongly to stay away from Audi/vw my friend owns a passat and half the car repair shops won't even touch them. Crazy headache when it comes to service! The q7 is really really nice though just get one with a service plan!
