I thought I'd seen pretty much everything where brakes are concerned, but I guess I never really saw a lot of rear disc brake systems.
Rather, I've nver had to remove a rotor from one anyway.

The rear rotor on the SRT-10 is nothing new, as is the caliper and all.

But what I WASN'T aware of, is this:

What is the deal with the "mini-drum" system in the center of the rear rotors?!
Is it just for the emergency brake? Or is it actually an active dual-braking type configuration?
I've never seen anything like that before!

That is the emergency brake for the read disk brake system. Most cars are like that. What's missing is most of the rotor that hides it all. You just don't see it from the outside...

Damn, what happened to the axle & rotor? That doesn't look good at all.
