I have lived in the US for 15 years but notice that Ford seems to run the cleanest? If you pull up next to a ford the inside of the exhaust burns nice and gray CLEAN( meaning it spends all its fuel) in Europe you see the the same, however most GM & Chrysler are all sooty and appear to run rich with big black sooty deposits in the tail pipe, including my last 3 SRT10's

WTF?:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

I just noticed that in my SRT-10's exhaust tip also. I noticed a little puddle of black fluid at the bottom of the pipe. At first I freaked out. and started getting images of a blown head gasket flashing in my head. Then I remembered that this truck is full of surprises. So is it that stuff normal?

I know I'm not helping answer anything. I'm just joining THEWELSHM in his quest for answers.

I think its more of the age and how the vehicle is being driven than the maker i see carbon build up on all makes.

i know that the old ford 302 and the chevy 350 have the same firing order, the diff is how the cyl. are numbered and what way the dist. rotates, think it was on hot rod tv a while back or something. nice Hannan quote he was really laying it on Brown
