Older Drivers (Very Sensitive Topic!)

Boy, if I had a dollar for every gray-haired person I've seen driving the wrong way on the highways and freeways around here...

One almost hit me head on a few years back. The closure speed had to have been in excess of 100mph. I manged to get to the shoulder just in time, and the old woman never swerved a bit. She might as well have been massively DUI.

Maybe I am wrong, but I look at this as if someone had pointed a gun at me and my family and tried to kill us.

I have had the same thing happen, and I am afraid that if I was ever hit by someone like that, I may lose it.

People make mistakes...and I understand that...but talking on a cell phone, eating, putting on makeup while driving, or not having enough sense to know that they are on the wrong side of the road is just inexcusable.

My wife and I were heading up Hwy 81 going to NY when all of a sudden I notice a car coming at me in the left lane. I dart to the right lane just in time to avoid him. It was an older man that somehow managed to take the wrong off ramp in the wrong direction. He just kept going after a number of close calls oblivious to his error.

Lee, when was the last time you were driving and putting makeup on?:D
