older v-10

I agree completely. Biggest power limiter is the cast crank (Paxton guys have gotten 700+RWHP with it though). I think that just maybe the Gen 1 forged crank will fit (can't find one to borrow or get someone to measure theirs). I know that the Gen 2+ will not! So to build really big power the first things you need is Billet crank, mains, and stud girdle. At that point it is already a special build. I will find out soon if the block can support Darton sleeves. That will determine if I am going to have a 554ci or a 510ci. So far this build has been cheaper than doing a fully built Gen 3 Viper engine but only because I have waited months (years) for really good deals to come along.

You would actually be surprised at all of the similarities between the Magnum and Viper blocks. The differences is what has kept my creativity going though!

what can i expect from a b&g flash an exhaust and intake ,,hp and tq wise

Ohh and I forgot to mention some of the power you are missing compared to the Viper can be attributed to the 8.4:1 compression ratio. There is a MOPAR performance cam for the Magnum that nearly matches the stock Vipers. It has been discontinued but if you can find it it is usually really cheap and ups HP and TQ by 45.

be perfect for fi :dontknow:

From what I have read performance headers will give you around 15HP and 15-20ft/lbs throughout the rev range. Intake not much you can do there other than a filter. If you don't have to worry about emissions I would dump the EGR and the air pump. Any thing else requires you to really dive into the engine and expenses go way up. Your not trying to make this a 1500HP beast are you?

This will make you happy SCT does work with the 10's.........

I agree completely!:D The guys that have put Paxton kits on it love it. Unlike the Gen 3 Viper guys you can't make the factory heads/intake combo out flow the Paxton:p .

this thing has almost 90000 on it dont think ill do too much unless i decide to overhaul it later on.:D

That is just warming up on these blocks. My spare block that is getting #1 cylinder removed showed almost no signs of wear (140K). Easily could have been cleaned up and rebuilt but I had to go and get greedy with the Viper part idea.

i need it to pull a travel trailer ,or pull my 10 to locations

well im hitting the airport at 4 am friday ,,to go get the new old daily driver and tow truck,,driving from clevland ohio to houston ,,,so if you see a 2000 3/4 dodge v-10 broke down between there and here with a big fat white boy looking real pissed off it most likely be me,,i like how he already debadged it
