Remember a couple of weeks ago I reported about the great guys and good work at PATC in Bossier City La? The tranny shifted great and ran well----for 1,000 miles---then it smoked. Slipping from low to second and then would barley move. Called Chris at PATC and he got in touch with a shop in Richmond Texas that is a vendor for their parts. Century Automotive & Transmission (Home | Century Transmission | Century Transmission) had my truck towed and found the problem. PATC in an effort to save me money as the bill had climbed from $1400 to almost 3 grand rebuild the entire tranny with the exception of the overdrive. Huge mistake as it was bad and stopped up the filter and burned the rest of the clutches and bands to a smelly crisp. Truck was hauled on Monday night and by Wednesday Century had all the parts, less the torque converter send back for rebuilding to PATC, sent overnight from PATC. Thursday Century received the rebuilt converter and Monday evening I picked up my truck. My cost? Zero, PATC provided all the parts, rebuilt converter, labor and wrecker fee. They said in the effort to save me money they overlooked the overdrive and therefore it was their fault. My friends, you can’t get any better than this. There is still integrity in the South which is a far cry from the LYING Rusty at TCS that caused all of the tranny problems in the 1st place. Putting a 10†converter in place of a 13†caused excessive heat. Did Rusty offer to fix anything----NO. :chain:
Real men when they make mistakes own up to it and do what is right. Remember---right is right and wrong never is.
