Weight and profile are also pretty big factors. It takes a lot of brute force to push a heavy brick into thick air. When pared with a Z06 we are giving up a full ton of weight, and pushing probably 100% more air out of the way.

So...many of us opt for brute horsepower. Then we grapple with the traction issue.

i'm going the other way, wanna put the power i have to the ground before i add more that way i find out what helps and what dosent getting it to hook

Your going to laugh so hard at this but the car that really taught me the essence of a good launch was a Miata. Just a gutless motor but I managed to make fools out of little turbo hondas with good clutch feel and fast shifts at what used to be our 1/8 mile dragway in Savannah before they plowed it under. I still dont have my (tow) truck out of the shop so I havent driven out to pick up my 10 yet, but from the sounds of it Im going to have my hands full figuring it out.

everyone needs to learn on something like that, that way you learn to DRIVE not just jam the throttle and hang on:rock: i learned in an 81 datusn 280zx

no sir the viper wheels will not fit at all.

and most of the autos in reality with a cat back and cai should run aobut the same time, the rc a lil better with the right driver.

tire choice does suck tho, on the srt, the smallest rim you can fit without modding is a 17 inch eagle rim

I found that Mickey Thompson has "E/T Street Radial 2's" for sizes P305/45R18 and a P345/35R18. Those might be worth considering.
