hey guys. i will be purchasing an extended warranty today before i go to work, as my factory expires tomorrow. i know i will cover 7 yr 70k. only question is added care or max care (from chysler). the list for added care looks pretty good, but max care covers like 4200 more parts. price difference is 400. all and any opinions will be valued. anyone have experience with either?

I have the powertrain plus warranty. If I could of afforded it I would of got the bumper to bumper but I was at my max with just buying the truck.

Extended warranties are a crap shoot at best..... And IMO these vehicles are known to be a bit fragile under the hood...specially cuz they're hot rods and we hot rod 'em....

I, personally have rarely (if ever) benefitted from an extended warranty.

But, if ya have the bux and it gives you piece of mind... go for it...Especially if you have no mods that could possibly disqualify you AND if your dealership is predominantly customer service motivated.

we have awesome customer service oriented dealership. i called and spoke with service manager. he said definitely go max. he stated many of the small parts of engine and tranny are not covered under the added care, only the large parts. i went max care cost 400 more, but worth the piece of mind. thanks to all who chimed in.

I hope that everything that's covered breaks one week before your coverage expires. ;)

I am seriously thinking about an aftermarket warranty for mine, NOT through the manufacturer. I have real concerns about the dealership voiding the extended warranty or just refusing repairs. With an aftermarket warranty anyone can do the repairs, although many aftermarket warranties are bogus.(buyer beware)
