P0420 w/ Catless Mids

Didn't check cats yet. All this talk made me thinks... I don't have to do emissions inspection... Why the F haven't I gone catless yet?!

A blocked converter can definitely take out an engine.

Is there an easy way to diagnose a blocked cat without removing exhaust. with work and not having access to a lift, this may prove more difficult than you can imagine.

Is there an easy way to diagnose a blocked cat without removing exhaust. with work and not having access to a lift, this may prove more difficult than you can imagine.

A local exhaust shop will drill a hole before and after cats and measure the airflow with a guage. Obviously less on outgoing side of cat would be a clogged cat.
