ok, its spring! and its time for the twice annual "Run on the Mountain"
in Blue Knob PA!
this year it will be may 8 for the spring session.
this is a Saturday!
i went last fall for the first time, and it is a BLAST!!!!
this is run by distant family of mine (great aunts kids, cousins)
and by the blue knob fire department.
Located in Blue Knob, Pa. The states 2nd highest mountain. This beautiful mountain run has over 40 miles of trails, and has something special for every skill level. There is plenty of free parking as well as money prize drawings. Hot food and beverages will be sold at each checkpoint.
Registration will begin at 8AM and will close at 1PM
Run begins at 10AM
NO RIDERS WILL ENTER THE TRAIL AFTER 1PM
All riders must be off the trail by 5pm
$20 registration fee
Riders 12 and under $5
Helmets ARE required at registration AND on the trail
Open to all A.T.V. and Motorbike (no 3 wheelers)
Event will be held rain or shine
ALL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PROHIBITED!!!!

no idea how many were there, however, it was well over 1000 trucks!
they have prizes and such as well. last year i didnt win anything.... so i guess its not rigged for those they know lol. actually you reach into a bag of beads and if ya pick out a color you win. ITS NOT A RACE, thou some will run wide open, such as myself. i was the 4th finisher last year, after 2 bikes and a KTM race quad. that means nothing, there is no prize for place, i just love going fast.
i will be leaving from home the day before, and if anyone from this area wants to go i dont see a reason not to throw the atvs on the same trailer and car pool down.
