I considered a flame job once.(painted)
The thought that I wouldn't like it or get bored with it changed my mind.
NBT has some great ghost flames painted on and I would probably go that route if I decide to permanantly paint something.Anything that would be considered complicated I would say definitely paint,But make sure the painter is experienced and capable.

I was actually entertaining the idea of stripes on mine...Silver truck
black stripes...I think stripes add a little attitude...There are some
professional companys that install vinyl that looks pretty good...Be
careful, you get what you pay for...This thread will be interesting...

You are absolutley correct, you get what you pay for. Most of the vinyl that gets put on cars/trucks is cheap junk that was never intended to be exposed to the weather etc. to keep the price down (like in eBay auctions etc). If you use ultra high performance vinyl and the application is done correctly, it will last for years and it can be removed without that much effort if you heat it with a heat gun/torch.

I used oracal 2ml high performance vinyle. The shop that did mine charged me $300.00 . It took them all day.

NOID, Very nice! The colour choice is excellent!!Looks very goood!
I would say PAINT, Ive had the vinyl and all depends on who and what kind of vinyl you use, there are cheap vinyls and there are really good vinyls out there,So if definatly makes a diference, but if you want the full shiney effect of a full glossy paint job,I would say PAINT is the answer!

100_0449.jpg Definitly paint it. If you want a preview buy the tape see how it looks but don't leave it on. Mine was painted by "Pin Striping by Tony" here in Phoenix. He's done a number of my cars and does a lot for luxury car dealers. Can't find a pin striper check with the luxury car dealers and use someone that does it by hand. Masking tape stripes don't look right.

Truck looks sweet...Nice job...I was thinking of black stripes but after seeing
the colour on yours ...Looks good...:)

i can buy the vinyle pretty cheap. I picked up some extra for any damages that may happen. i.e. drivers side strip on the grill in the pic. it got nicked. Anyway a bought 10 feet of 24" wide. they cut it for free. so I have two 10" and one 4" total cost was like $40.00 . Thats cheap insurance in my opinion.

I paid $1500.00 two years ago for mine. That included front bumper rock chip repair, wing, rear bumper removal, then all striped pieces were clear coated. Viper red paint comes with a white base when you order it.

be sure FLOOR , photoshop it and sleep some nights over ....seems a expensive visual mod , color and width will be important.

Just my opinion, those stripes are racy and would be great on a racetrack but loose some common appearance on the daily roads...They WERE exclusive on some models but nowadays to many copyd on silly cars.....almost eyecatcher for pimped rides... in fact pitty , but to much abused .... just my tought.

Perhaps in he US it's more "normal" but here stripes look as "cheap" attention...boulevard ma-tu-vue , non ? :dontknow:

be carefull young man , just some advise from a ol timer :D

got a quote for the decals..... 300 euro... big difference he?
Gonna try this guys out.
To be continued.

Thks guys:rock:
