PAINTED HEADLIGHTS

Update. as I said before I went with painting the whole housing by force and I couldn't have been happier. I started with primer and 4 coats of bright red. Then I laid down 3 coats of clear.

My work space, (the back of one of my 4 wheelers that I'm overhauling) didn't give me light on the housing. So when I went out to see how the last coat was taking I found that I'd made a huge puddle of clear in the signal portion! Trying to clean it I wrecked the paint!

So out came the wire wheel and scotch brite pads! I de-painted it:) and repainted. At night in 40 degree weather :(

It went perfect until I was pressing the lens on and the lens touched the housing and the paint came off the housing and stuck to the inside of the lens :( I'm going to take it apart at a latter date when I get clear corner lens. Or if I can't find clear corners i'm going to bondo the mounting holes that the lens was in...............

The good news is that my very very bad temper didn't show one time, so what ever i'm doing it's working!

So here are the pics..............It's at night I'll get some day pics soon. And it's only one light!

These headlights smile a lot now!
