Painting calipers- need help ASAP!!!

I'm painting my calipers black with dupli color caliper spray paint, and then I did a coat of dupli color engine enamel clear (rated to 500 degrees). my problem is that anywhere the paint was sprayed on thicker there are cloudy spots and it's been drying about 30 minutes and the cloudiness has gone away where it was lighter but the heavier spots are still cloudy and I don't want to spray everything else down if I'm going to have to redo this crap. Please help!!! I really appreciate it.

Either remove it and start again. Or 'paint' over it for another coat.

well I painted over it with black and that worked ok, but I need a clear coat I can use on the calipers for when I do the viper logos on the front calipers...

If you use the dupli color brush on with ceramic bro, it needs no clear,

but I wouldnt clear it anyway, the paint will chip eventually and need touching up, with straight black it will be easier

put it on the outside of the caliper?

oh you wanted to put on the decal then clear over?


Dont know if I would the heat may affect it, but if I remember right , dupli color or vht has a heat proof clear I think

yeah, I want to put the decals on then clear over them. does anyone know for sure? now that i've painted them should I wait a week to clear over?

If you can find a high temp clear try it...i've had my stickers on my calipers over 2 yrs without issue and there's no clear on them!!

Oh yeah... The Man allright.... not.

I finally got some sleep for longer than an hour and a half last night.

And yeah... I did some cleaning on the truck yesterday... tightened up header bolts.... cleaned the engine bay... valvecover wells...... :egg:

Today...got a few vehicles to detail... picked up 4 new client's this week:rock:

I might just have to skip the clear, it's becoming WAY too much of a PITA.
