There was a post on here at one time of someone painting the inside of their rims. I now have time to do mine, but can't find the how to post. Can anyone help. Thanks.

1. remove wheel
2. sand or use a wire wheel or 3M pads on the inside of the wheel to prep the surface. if its pitted you may have to use some rough sand paper to get it smooth. I prefer to wet sand.
3. wipe off and dry
4. tape up back of wheel so no over spray gets on it
5. prepsol the painted area. Sometimes I use a heat gun to speed the process.
6. Prime(lighter primer makes the color brighter ie white or light gray)red, dark gray or black primer makes the color deeper and some times changes the color shade a little bit. do a couple coats and wait in between coats
7. pick your color, do a few coats and wait for it to dry
8. clear coat
9. have a beer while the paint dries
10. pics or it never happened. Good luck

Thanks for the help. I need to get this done while it is still in the 80's. Don't want to wait until the 100+ temps.

I posted pics of when I did mine in the exterior thread. not to complicated just take your time masking off everything.

That's a lot of work, Jim's (06SRT10) next thread will be looking for somebody to do it for him. :D

Are you volunteering?? Because I think I have #9 down pat. Oh, by the way Rick, I have the radiator decal that I will give you the next time we hook up. It's the one JR gave me.
JaysSRT10, I will look up your thread. I will need all the beer, I mean help I can get.

I found your thread. Hope my wheels turn out as nice as yours did. I'm going with the same color of gray as my 10. I figured the darker color wouldn't show dirt & grim as badly as a lighter color. Thanks everyone for the help.
