Scenerio:
I dropped my truck off at the bodyshop on Monday afternoon to get my lovely custom guardrail modification fixed. Before I even decided to drop the truck off, I got in touch with Patrick to verify if any parts were on backorder. He said all was a go.
On Wednesday, I got a call from the bodyshop and they tell me that the bumper end-cap is on "backorder". They tell me that it will be 7-10 days before the part comes in. Well, I know better, because I verified with Patrick beforehand. Apparently, they used the term backorder incorrectly. No dealer in GA stocked the part, and they had to order the part from Michigan, which would take 7-10 days.
To make a long story short, I got on the horn with Patrick and told him my situation. It turns out, he's got one of those end-caps in stock, and ready for shipment. I got in touch with my bodyshop, they in turn, got in touch with Patrick and the end-cap was overnighted to me. :elefant:
Cliffs: Took truck to body shop for repairs. Part was "backorder" for 7-10 days. Patrick had part in stock and overnighted it to the bodyshop. Now my truck SHOULD be ready in time for the SE GTG! :elefant: :elefant: :elefant:
