I am taking this pole to see how many people are fed up with the way our govenment has performed and would be open to a fresh political party with the goal of returning this country to the greatness it once was.
The principals of this new party would be the same as the founding fathers,
only laws would be put in place that insured accountability and responsibility.
I worked for the govenment 33yrs and tease if you like, but I considered my and any job with the government a position of honor and trust with a duty to
do my job to the best of my ability.
Something else I noticed is the high number of people that do not understand
that the money for government is money taken from citizens and businesses
and that there is no such thing as govenment money. I don't know what has
taken place in our schools but when it is announced x million or billion in federal money is being wasted I have had several people ask why I griped
since it was federal money, but after I explained that federal money is their
money they get upset too.
There is something fundamentally wrong with the way government spends
our money. I found this out the first time I was given a position that had a
budget. I have the opinion that not one penny of the publics money should
be taken nor spent unless absolutely necessary.
I thought that I would get applauded when I saved a considerable amount
of my budget yet when I informed my supervisor was met with, "Oh crap man
we have to spend that money fast!" Turns out that the practice of spending
every penny every year and then asking for a little more each year is the norm. I say spend only what is necessary and RETURN any excess.
