Paxton is all over the board on where to tap into for the boost gauge. DC perf. says tap at the Paxton split second box. Anybody know for sure. Also any tips on best way to install the belt. Looks like if I take the support plate off could help. Paxton does not address these issues.

Yes, take the plate off to install the new belt. I have a printed out belt diagram that I carry in the glove box to help with the routing.

For boost you can tap into the line coming out of the rear firewall going into your master slave. I'll see if I have pic when I get home.

front plate is easy to take out ,take off the air intake pipes going to the throttle body as well ,shouldn't take you more than 45 minutes to complete

the boost gauge can be hooked up to to vacuum line going to the brake, just make sure you attach the line on the right side of the check valve so it registers the boost and vacuum

just be careful with the spacers in between the plates... there are two diff sizes, with only about 1/8 inch difference in length if l remember correctly, and the ones underneath the SC are a bitch to hold in place while trying to put the bolt through. just my $.02...

Very true! The spacers used to mount the head unit to the plate can be a SOB to get back into place. I put a dab of Blue loctite on the spacers after this happened to me, so far so good they have stayed in place since.

Just looked, and as l thought, mine is also tapped in near split second box, but as above, as long as you're before check valve, going into brake line is shorter route into cab for gauge line and maybe a touch easier....
