Paxton bypass valve upgrade

Yeah I figure some degree of welding and making a custom pipe for it would be in order. But otherwise shouldn't be a big deal I wouldn't think. My other question would be where on the piping would it go for the paxton.

Thats the one that comes with the Paxton kits. Its a good unit, plenty for a Paxton.

ah ok, so it's just the Vortech version of the same thing that already came in the Paxton kit. Thanks Justin.

I would put it as close as possible to the TB.

Well Justin is saying the item in the link I posted is the same as what comes with the kit and if I'm not mistaken the location it goes is in the air-water cooler. Are you saying to plug that location and relocate the bypass valve close to the throttle body, just like where Justin puts the Tial BOV on the ProCharger kits?

That's the same one that comes on the Paxton kit. Mounting location is on the water to air intercooler just after the blower outlet.

I think having the Bov closer to the throttle body alleviates the boosted air bouncing back into the supercharger/turbo impeller when the throttle body closes. I have always tried to get it next to TB on most of the FI builds I have done. BOV are a little easier for placement since the air doesn't get route back into the intake like a diverter valve.

cool man, thanks for all of your help on this thread and in PM's. I'd personally like to do a BOV too. Can't wait to see your build fully finished!
