I have the dual fuel pumps that came with the Paxton supercharger kit but once I get a SCT tune from torrie I will not be using the Paxton engine control unit which powers the pumps. Do these pumps only come on when there is boost? Is there a way to power and trigger them without the engine control unit or should I go to the dual 255s in the tank?

Thanks for any information you guys can provide ;)

Hey Tim. This is the one that I'll be going with probably. Torrie likes it and he's the one that's gonna re-tune my truck. So, I'd rather go with what he likes to work with. And check out TNVIPER's thread in the buy/sell section. He has the injectors you'll need. And he's selling for a good price.

The duals you got with the kit don't go in the tank.

You would have to have a way to kick the 2 pumps on without the engine control unit.

I have the same unit but haven't installed it. I do have the pumps installed under the truck inline with the tank to the engine.

FYI, I do not have a Paxton, but a Roe.

The Paxton inlines can be set up to come on at boost or rpm....just need to by the electronics to do it....MSD and Kenne Bell have them.......but if I were doing it I would buy the Roe in tank setup as Santeen is.......and if you are increasing boost I have the injectors you will need to get the most HP possible..:)

Thanks for the advice guys :) I have a package deal on order from torrie that will include the sct, 69lb injectors and 2 bar map. He suggested the dual in-tank setup but I just wanted to hear what you all thought as well. I will be removing all the paxton electronics and pumps this next week I guess.

How hard is it to drop the tank to install the pumps?

255s are cheap just go that route...that is what i did with mine...unfortunately it can get expensive fixing paxton's shitty engineering...

If you have access to a lift it wont be a big deal....just make sure the tank is on the south side of E...;)

or take the bed off and do it from the top - thats what we did...twice....didn't flar one of the lines enough :( 6 bolts.

Got those Racetronic dekas too seem to be working well.

How heavy is the bed? Would that be the better way to do it? I already pumped all the gas out of the tank if that makes a difference.

is a 3 or 4 man job....or if you have a winch etc...take the gate off first. drain your blinker fluid.

You dont need to remove the bed....that would be a major job....a trans holder or some support will work...remove the left rear wheel...
