Ok Another stupid question. Why does the paxton Supercharger produce less Hp on a quad Cab? On the Rc and the Viper car it makes more Hp with the just 8 psi. I'm thinking beacause its a Automatic.

It is the auto tranny from a 2500/3500 diesel truck and was not designed to be high performance. As such it is very heavy and robs alot of power. Also the D60 rearends are very parasitic (RC and QC) so that hurts the trucks when compared to a viper. Compound the two on a QC and the numbers hurt.

I only have one question for all you QC haters out there. On the time slip page what truck is the fastest? :)

Ted May Is tuning my truck in June. He said I could have up to 800rwhp.
Rc Guys watch out. But all love for the Viper truck guys.

If density alt were a factor those timeslip numbers might be different. I was racing at a density alt of 8700 feet when my 13.889 was run. I'm last on the timeslip section for that very reason :(

Got 2 answers for ya. The fastest 1/4 mile Ram SRT-10 run was a Silver 04 RC with a 10.88 (Hennessey Twin Turbo).
Fastest Production truck run (top end) was set with a 04 RC.

So there. :thefinger: :thefinger: :thefinger:

Interesting comment !!! Yes the Diesels run this transmission, but I think you will find that if you dig a little deeper, the 48RE is in actuality a TF727 which went behind small blocks and big blocks, including the REAL HEMI !!!But just like anything else, they are tamed down for driveability !!!Nothing to say you can't take some of your hard earned cash and spend it wisely on a tranny rebuild (Suncoast Converters):D !!! I'd be willing to bet that would wake up that sucker !!

I've taken mine to 3 different dealers for tranny service and apparentlt the regular hemi auto tranny uses the same bands and stuff as the srt-10 tranny. and sadly, the dealer won't install the better bands even if I bring them in myself. so as long as I have warranty, they will keep replacing bands!

1Fast400's video showed a low 11 pass, if I remember correctly. I have not seen video or timeslip on any forum where a Ram SRT10 goes faster than 10.88. Until the slip or vid is shown, it didn't happen, IMHO. :dontknow:

Not saying he didn't do it, just saying it hasn't been backed up on here.;)

And I quantified my post by saying look at the time slip page. I stand by that. Of all the trucks represented here by members, QC are 3 of the top 5 including spot #1. Maybe i should clarify my original post to read Quickest. You are correct in the fastest statement.

I will also concede that a RC has more potential than my QC based on weight alone. But I will stick with my grocery getter, it suits me fine.

Then two motors later.. All the best to Mike on whatever he has planned this time.

If I am correct, Hennessy converted the RC to an automatic but I am not sure if that was the 10.88 run or after. Not about to go on NFFF to search for it...
