I don't know if anyone has posted this problem before, but my truck developed a misfire and to cut a long story short the problem was the bottom pulley has worked loose, allowing the serpentine belt to slip. The crank had been pinned as per Paxton fitting instructions but the pins sheared allowing the pulley to work loose.
I spoke to Shaun Roe who said he had concerns about the size of the dowels and has machined larger ones for his blower kit.So a set are winging their way to me now.
If you have a Paxton set up check it out.:dontknow:

Good catch Micheal, I am sure the other Paxton fellas will be inspecting theres now!

Let us know how the Roe pins work!!

Bottom pulley bolt was a dodge recall. Heard about it on this forum. Adding the Paxton prob voided any chance of warranty.

You can always depend on Roe....when you say "machined larger ones for his blower kit" does that mean he has always had larger or recently started maching larger ones?

Shaun Roe said he has allways used the larger pins with his Ram kit.Roe are really nice people to deal with:rock:

That's why I keyed my crank. I've heard, and seen a lot of these horror stories. Good luck hopefully everything will work out for you, and you won't have to replace your crank.

good luck dude
hope you get it sorted

Good alert.

Thanks, and yes, Sean Roe is salt of the earth...

1. Always check the pulley bolt at oil change time. 120 ft/lb!!

2. Roe's pins are 1/4" if that helps (seem to recall a 1/4" bit when drilling)
