Would like to hear from anyone running the Paxton Supercharger with nitrous oxide successfully. Are you running NOS, NX,ZEX, etc? If so how much spray? 50, 75, 100 shot? What kinda HP/TQ numbers? What kinda times 1/8th and 1/4?

I want to add it but want to keep my motor also!

Unless you have a forged motor, you're dicing with death for your powerplant.

here's the build sheet on the silver truck... I believe it puts out high 800's with a 325 shot... ~700 without the bottle...main problem is you'll eventually have to replace everything... engine... tranny rear end... it'll be a never-ending battle.... assuming you put on traction bars & some slicks you'll be running low 11's even with a 200 shot obviously the more you add the faster it'll go but there's a point of just sliding all over the track... and as Tim already said... if you don't have forged internals... it WILL go boom...;)

good luck :D

We'll see soon enough. I'm installing a nitrous/propane/gas system good for a 300 shot, that will be managed by NOS' new Launcher progressive control system. I wouldn't even THINK about this if I didn't have the engine built as it is.

...OK, maybe I'd think about it.:p

I don't have mine tuned so no numbers but its a turned up Paxton with just a 50 shot on it. Nitrous Express wet system with stand alone controller. Expectations are ~800hp on motor and boost, just that 50 shot and sprayed intercoolers should push it over 900. I'll try this setup at the track and if I can go with more spray w/o lighting the tires I will, if not there is no point.

If you don't have forged internals go ahead and start building another block b/c you'll need it before long. Mine said boom with just the Paxton. Outer edges of 3 pistons got brittle and started flaking off before destroying spark plugs and really busting up two pistons. I luckily didn't window the block.

What kind of boost are were, or are, you running on your paxton. Mine's only at 7lbs right now.

No it is BEING tuned. The rebuild was just finished up. Believe me after losing one motor I'm one of the biggest advocates of tuning there is. It has a very conservative very rich tune while the tuner puts some miles on the new motor, it won't see a dyno for another week at least.

It was 7-8lbs before it popped, now is going to be 9-10lbs through better flowing heads.

Mine's not "tuned" yet either, but it HAS a conservative tune in it just like he does. We left easily 300+hp on the table just to make it easy on the engine for the time being during break in.;)
