PCB FL Travelers- Love bugs are out

Well thats not good, how long has it been painted?cause the bugs will eat the paint very quickly.

1 week. So it's a very serious problem.

One of the worst swarms I hit was at night in Yeehaw Junction. It was like it was raining.

Youll still get them.
And it is a myth that UF created them. They did not.
Yes they did. They bread a damn mosquitoe with some other bug to screw up my paint job. What did I do to UF?:D

Yeah it is, waxing is out and I would not try useing pam or anything else.:dontknow:

Yes they will. I have been known to stop at the rest plazas and fill up a bucket with water and wash down the front of the truck before. That might have been last year...
Thats why I dont drive my truck at lovebug times.

Talk to your paint guy and see what he says. There are products that can be used after a paint job. I would imagine that if the paint shop had a booth, that they would have let it "Bake" for awhile. You might be ok, but check to make sure.

Do what I am going to do.....gonna find myself a UF student and strap him to the front of my truck to protect it from the love bugs. :D

Even if they had let it so called "Bake" the paint still takes about 30 days to cure and reach it full hardness.

It's OK Ron. According to Wiki they don't fly in June. Let's hope they're looking at their calendar.

Is there a car wash in PC?

They have one of those do it yourself things where you dont want to use there brushes. Alot of sand there. Bring your own rags.

I can tell you right now, if there is a possiblity of bugs filled with acid flying around, my 10 and the $1200 worth of paint work that I just had done (to prepare for this trip) will not be going.
