Hey Men,

Installed DC PCM and T-Stat this morning...A couple of questions answered all bolts are 7/16 and T-30 torx on T-stat housing. The hidden bolt will come off with a standard 7/16 with a couple of extensions.Top left you need a T-30 torx and extension to remove.Top right either a box or open end 7/16 and deep 7/16 socket(it has a ground wire on it).Bottom right 7/16 socket and extensions.Be ready no matter what you do or wear....some anti - freeze is going to leak out.Remember if you get it on yourself or your tools...everything will become slick.I removed the intake hose and the motor end of the radiator hose.It is alot easier to get to the "hidden bolt "Someone posted that before me.
PCM...The bottom screw is the only tough part..I used a flex shaft extension and a 5/16 socket...Top screws are easy to get to with a phillips head or 5/16 nut driver.
The T-Stat I removed was marked 185 degrees....Test drove only to check for leaks....Going out now for real test.

Thanks as always...You guys were a great help. Bill

I HAVE A 170 T-STAT IN MINE.STILL PUSHING 200 IN TRAFFIC.
WTF, IS IT THIS SW FLA HEAT ?? MID 80'S IN MARCH.
I CANT TAKE THIS S--T.!!

Temperature

It was warm in NY yesterday...Almost 70....Ran my truck hard after install...Truck stayed at 175 except for hills and at lights...Don't think it is much to worry about....These guages can range quite abit.

PCM...I cannot believe how much they have these trucks dialed back. The flash makes an instant gain in responsiveness and smoother shifting. No more paddling. The only other mod that I have is a KN drop-in....I will tell you IMHO that a catback system at least would make a significant difference with this flash.I will start to scout that out today.DC said that ther best results with this flash was with the KN drop-in and Magna-flow cat-back.

Just installed my T-Stat last night. It went pretty good.

Thanks for the help. :)

It's best to call Dan at DC 310.841.6996

The cost depends on if you want a new computer or if you want them to flash your current computer...

However, I see you're in Indiana... that's boomerland... he sells his own chip... and it's probably worth giving him a call... he's x-metal engineering... you can get his info on his vendor link...

good luck :)

DC pcm cost

$350---pcm
$600---flash
$67---T-Stat
You will have to provide your VIN(triple check back and forth) mileage and mods....He ships 3 day FED-EX on him....The reason I went with DC other than Bg or x-metal was that they use DC's dyno results in there adds.I also called back for a track number and they fetched it pretty quick. There were no directions so it is crucial to stay in touch with the forum...Don't be bashful about questions...If you need help feel free to also PM me.

It is worth the money....The only thing I would have done over was adding an exhaust system first....It is a crime the way these trucks are dialed and choked back.

Good luck...Bill.....05 q-cab

Will add mopar performance exhaust within a month....Would love to go catless but the emmisions commie/nazi's are out of control here !

Thought I'd add 2 quick notes to keep in mind

1: you'll want 2 ecm's not just for service but for TOWING as well.. don't use the stage 2 for towing
2: the 06 pcm/ecm costs a bit more

cheers :)
