DOES THE PCM DIAL BACK THE TIMING AS THE ENGINE HEATS? OBVIOUSLY
THIS THING HAS ALOT MORE POWERE WHEN COLD.
IF SO DO THESE FLASH UNITS OR VECS OVERRIDE THIS?

The timing retardation is usually left in place to inhibit detonation which happens when there is heat soak or just too much hot air being ingested. Detonation leads to destruction.

So my guess is when they put the roe and vec unit and meth they will override this feature.

I don't think so...its kinda like fooling with the rev limiter.

These are engine safety issues and removal of either one would not be wise...when it get too hot, the timing needs to be retarded and the air/fuel mixture needs to be enriched...and the engine is designed to red line at 6000 rpm. Now if you have done internal modifications that permit going beyond the 6000 limit then yes, maybe the rev limiter should be overridden, but in most cases no.

When you get your flash, get the 170 t stat and your truck will run at 180 or less all the time. I dont feel that heat soak condition anymore.

I put in the 170 T stat and am not getting flash. Getting Vec 3 .
